Movement in Music with South Kingstown High School Musicians In-Person
Join us for musical fun, presented by members of the South Kingstown High School Band. Led by All-State musician, Abigail Barrus, this program will center around the theme of "movement in music". Several short pieces of classical music will be played, and participants will talk about how they illustrate the concept of movement--how we move to music, music that depicts movement, and movement as a musical term. The format was inspired by Leonard Bernstein's Young People's Concerts with the New York Philharmonic. Geared for grades K-5.
